Your energy saving style can be started in the kitchen. You can start by buying local foodstuffs which do not require fuel for shipping. It also reduces vehicle emissions. As soon as the water boils, turn off the stove. Let the pot of boiling water remains closed to save the energy. When cooking, make sure the pan is tightly closed so that heat is obtained immediately.
Cooking with an open pan are using more fuel. Try to cook the rice with a rice cooker because it uses less energy than cooking on the stove. If you are using a dishwasher, use it at the middle of the night off peak hours to save the energy either. Be sure to cook as needed. If there was food left over, put it in a glass container or plastic dishes instead. That way, we reduce the use of plastic.
